Final Count down! Devlog#7
Well well well,
look what we have here! an actual release! Truth be told it's not pretty. I still need to format the text, change headers, add a table of contents, yadda yadda. I wanted it to be filled with my art. Very selfish of me. I know.
That aside I figured out a way to rank up equipment! All materials and stuff in game can be bought. Which means that you can indirectly convert cash into higher star weapons. What this does for us is to allow cash to DIRECTLY upgrade equipment! Genius! This in effect makes it similar to old school D&D where gold equates to exp. Thus knights always have a reason to dive.
Uvs might be a bit beyond the scope of this project. it is just the core gameplay afterall. That and I'm not getting paid. Still What I do want to add is a hired help system so that your knight won't have to go alone! Imagine hiring Rhendon or Desna to delve with you. That would be so cool! I'll limit it to randoms though, so that continuity is kept.
Is the game tested? No
It's fresh off the press! Granted I made a board, minis, and have tons of dice, but not the time. Still the math works out. The minimum Dmg a knight can do is 2d4. (rolling an average of 4 dmg each attack.) Meaning a hp of 12 works. On average the wolver will die in 3 hits with a bit of variability. So it works.
Yes we use minimum, not max just because some people cannot get good rolls. that and it will feel good to one shot enemies. Careful positioning will be rewarded.
This felt long. I'll update it, add monsters, weapons, art, and finally make the art mook I was talking about. Core game done Saturday. The rest hopefully done Sunday. See you later.
